PADMASHRI PROF. DIPANKAR BANERJEE
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, INDIA
Prof. Dipankar Banerjee is currently a Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He joined the Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory of DRDO in Hyderabad in 1979, and was the director of the laboratory from 1996 to 2003. He was Chief Controller, R&D of DRDO from 2003-2010, and in that position he coordinated the aeronautical and materials programmes of DRDO. Prof. Banerjee chairs the research council of CGCRI (Kolkata , India), the GTMAP program of ARDB, Govt. of India, and serves on the Technical Advisory Board of Midhani Ltd.

Prof. P. M. Ajayan, is the Benjamin M. and Mary Greenwood Anderson Professor in Engineering at Rice University. He is the founding chair of Rice University's Materials Science and Nano Engineering department and also holds joint appointments with the Department of Chemistry and Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
